100% natural and other misleading statements.

This post is for the purpose of expressing my distaste for some of the more obnoxious and in my opinion offensive ads and general advertising techniques I've been thinking about lately.

Starting with "100% natural" a combination of words and maths that is misleading and vague at best and downright deceptive from a more cynical viewpoint.

In a very big picture way of looking at things, almost nay all things that exist are 100% natural. In that they are made from atoms and energy in some form. Maybe a black hole is an exception to this? Black holes sound 100% unnatural to me.

Take the Cochineal beetle a scale insect in the suborder Sternorrhyncha, from which the natural dye carmine is derived.
No wuckin forries mate. Beetle mush was used to get your processed food that red color, sweet as. That'll be a no artificial colours big tick on the packaging for that product hooray!

Take the Jetts fitness girl that they have plastered across the front of their franchises.
